Qing Qi Hua Tan Liquid TIncture is a classic Chinese Herbal Medicine formula that clears heat and toxins from the lungs (i.e. infection). It also works powerfully to clear phlegm It is best used when there is cough with thick, yellow phlegm that is difficult to expectorate ("sticky").-- the kind of cough that has "settled in" and established itself deep in the lungs. In severe cases, people with this pattern presentation may also experience shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.

Because internal inflammation (from too much phlegm) can also hinder the flow of qi and other vital fluids in the midsection of the body, nausea, a feeling of fullness in the chest and epigastrium, or abdominal bloating can show up as secondary symptoms that may indicate the use of this formula.

  • asthma, bronchitis, or pneumonia (or any upper respiratory issue with cough with thick, yellow phlegm that is difficult to expectorate as a component).
